The Research Ethics Committee (REC-UOC) is the overarching Committee at the University of Crete for the consideration of ethical issues arising from research that involves human participants and personal data.
Remit
The remit of the UREC is to devise a University policy for approval by the General Board for the consideration and approval of research projects involving human participants or personal data, including the establishment of specialist sub-committees, where appropriate, to cover specific areas.

Η Επιτροπή Ηθικής και Δεοντολογίας της Έρευνας (Ε.Η.Δ.Ε.) του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης (Π.Κ.) συστήνεται και λειτουργεί σύμφωνα με τις διατάξεις του Ν.

Committee Membership
Η Επιτροπή αποτελείται από επτά (7) τακτικά μέλη με τους αναπληρωτές τους. Είναι επιστήμονες, με ειδίκευση σε θέματα έρευνας, ηθικής/βιοηθικής και δεοντολογίας της έρευνας. Εκλέγονται, με τριετή θητεία, από την Επιτροπή Ερευνών και ορίζονται με απόφαση του Πρύτανη του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης.
